Andrius Kulikauskas posted Mornflake cereal: How can we reach out?
Thank you for the WES summit where I was very glad to meet John Caswell of Group Partners http://www.grouppartners.net We later met and spoke about my Minciu Sodas laboratory's interest to create a Public Domain version of their approach to solving problems (Discovering - Developing - Deciding - Deploying). http://www.grouppartners.net/extra/4d My lab, Minciu Sodas, serves and organizes independent thinkers around the world, some of whom are...... [read more]
alex stobart: Andrius I had to go to see your client thelawfirm 1) their page takes ages to load 2) their "blog" here http://www.the-l-a-w-firm.com/blog/ has no content ! Nothing since February 2008. This is not a good sign I don't think. Either take it down or populate it with content. I don't think I will be eating their cereal :) Alex
Andrius Kulikauskas: Alex, Thank you for your replies here and at our directory! I will share them also at our lab's working group Voiceful http://groups.yahoo.com/group/voiceful/ and you are welcome to join us there (send a blank message to voiceful-subscribe@yahoogroups.com) My laboratory's mission is to support independent thinkers (like you and the entrepreneurs you help) http://www.ms.lt and therefore, a culture of independent thinkers http://www.worknets.org I imagine it as a distributed culture shared by many online communities and also "global villages" on-the-ground. http://www.worknets.org/wiki.cgi?Charter We provide free services for people who are willing to work on their own projects publicly, in the Public Domain, and help each other. As a consequence, we are able to organize large global teams as we did for http://www.pyramidofpeace.net We're very fortunate through Leon Benjamin http://www.winningbysharing.net to work on behalf of Mornflake http://www.mornflake.com simply by acknowledgingt them as we support you and others in your efforts to be effective online. I recommend that you link up with Kerry Santo in Edinburgh, she was once homeless and then dreamed to start a Modo Fac Central office where the homeless and those at-risk could build entrepreneurial skills. She was once the person in Ecademy with the most "friends". http://www.scarybirds.com http://www.ecademy.com/module.php?mod=club&name=Modo+Fac+Central https://www.xing.com/profile/Kerry_Santo Another community that you might engage is Howie Firth's http://www.thinkbig-online.net in the Highlands which is just starting. Michael Wolff's ki-work for freelancers http://www.ki-work.com He's in the Highlands. Here's a community we found for social care workers: http://www.communitycare.co.uk/ Are any of these interesting? I appreciate if you blog about our efforts, with a link to http://www.mornflake.com We'd be very interested to help you more if you think we can. I added a page for you at our wiki http://www.worknets.org/wiki.cgi?AlexScobart with metadata (which you can edit) by which we're promoting you through our ShopWithUs http://www.shopwithus.org ads. Also, we're building interfaces for our lab's websites http://www.worknets.org/wiki.cgi?Interface Perhaps we might work together? I could output for you the entries that we're collecting for our directory. I'm thinking of making a map of the links between communities using TouchGraph. Andrius
Andrius Kulikauskas: From Leon Benjamin: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/voiceful/message/265 Very rich, interesting conversation. Since we’re making videos about people’s values, Alex’s work is very much an example of what we would be looking for! Alex said; In both the latter two instances, it is the people themselves who never get the chance to design their own recovery, as too often they are told what to do. If you know of any equivalent communities to the 3 I describe above, I would be very grateful if you can let me know, and we can share learnings I don’t know of any communities like this off-hand but I know where I would start looking, see; http://p2pfoundation.net/Special:Search?search=health <http: /> &go=Go …and specifically… “co-creating health services” http://p2pfoundation.net/Co-creating_Health_Services Good luck! Leon.

The future capitalism book which we freely sampled everyone at wes08 has helped lead to and map an extraordinary connection of microeconomist networks from dhaka to paris, to glasgow to berlin, to boston to nairobi as yet not many people are connecting in from macro-capitalism cities of london or NY- if you want to support the 33 year long entrepreneurial revolution http://erworld.tv of microeconomics then please contact me any way you wish...... While I have had to cancel my live participation in the WES Annual Summit, I have videotaped my call for the WES Open Space participants to take up the challenge of thinking about a design for a new version of Capitalism. David Wilcox posted Using Skype for a video update
I wanted to check in with Rebecca Harding for an update on how preparations for the summit are going, so it seemed a good chance to try out a Skype call with Call Recorder. In all the debate about the future of capitalism, there's been little coverage of entrepreneurs, or more particularly a new breed of entrepreneurs coming through who want to make a profit, but equally want to use that profit for social or environmental gain. Yet already emerging from the survey of WES attendees is a very real sense that there are business opportunities in re-modelling capitalism around more socially and environmentally sustai...... Results from a major survey of 1800 growth-oriented entrepreneurs that will be presented at WES on the 20th March suggest that women entrepreneurs are less fazed by recessionary pressures than men. Nearly two thirds of men are worried about the macroeconomic climate compared to just over 50% of women, and men are also more likely to be worrying about their credit profile, about cashflow, profitability, sales, managing teams and accessing fina...... Rebecca Harding : When the FT starts talking about the future of capitalism, you know there's a problem! Steve - why not upload the video you are playing at WES here - gets the debate going in advance of the open space....
Rebecca Harding : WES Survey results beginning to suggest that entrepreneurs see a set of business opportunities in modelling and understanding the future of capitalism as well as in creating new financial models for the post-collapse world. Does this mean that it is entrepreneurs who represent the future, and, if so, what type of entrepreneurs do we need? Ask people to complete the survey to make sure its reliable! Team 2 of KaosPilots Netherlands will go on outpost next year. We are looking for an exciting part of the world with an extremely challenging project to work on. The idea is to take our Social Entrepreneurship school into a new socio-economic and cultural context. If you think you have a project that could qualify please share. What elements do you think a project that makes a change in the world should have?

Hi Oli

David Wilcox and I are working up a story and twitter about young people. Are they throwing off the rigid business models of their parents and chosing to select more socially/environmentally sustainable approaches to entrepreneurship? Is this a themes we will see in the extravaganza or the youth panel do you think?
